Build On Your Land

Your Land. Your Vision. Our Craft.

You Found the Land. Let's Figure Out What It Takes to Build There.

Maybe you already own the property you’ve always wanted to build on. Maybe you’re looking at a piece of land right now and wondering if it’s the one. Or maybe you know you want a little more space, but haven’t started searching yet.

Wherever you are starting, we’re here to help you figure out what comes next.

Before we start talking floor plans and finishes, we want to understand the property beneath them. Utilities, access, topography, trees, septic or sewer, wells or water service and site development can all shape what you build and what it will cost.

We look at those pieces early so they become part of the plan, rather than surprises later.

Already own your own land?

Great! That’s where we’ll start.

We want to understand what you hope to build, how you want to live on the property and what made you love the land in the first place.

Then we’ll start looking at the details together, with both your vision and your overall budget in mind.

Still Looking For Land?

You don’t have to wait until you own property to talk to us. In fact, we’d rather talk beforehand.

We can help guide your search, give you a builder’s perspective on properties you’re considering, or provide some helpful guidelines as you set out to look.

A piece of land can look perfect from the road. We’ll help you look a little deeper before you make a big decision.

Land & Site Evaluation

Every property is different. Our job is to help you understand what your land is telling us before we start designing the home.

What We're Looking For

Utilities

We look at public water, sewer and power availability and where those services are located. For more rural properties, we’ll help you understand what may be needed for a private well and septic system.

How do we get to your future home? We consider driveway location, road access, slopes and the ability to safely get construction equipment and deliveries onto the property.

We also consider emergency vehicle access and applicable fire requirements, including driveway width and grade, turnaround areas, fire department access, hydrant or water supply requirements and whether fire sprinklers may be required.

Where the home sits on the property matters. We look at views, privacy, natural light, access, topography and how you want to use the property to help find the right place for your home.

It’s not just about fitting a house onto the land. We want it to feel like it belongs there.

Slopes and terrain can affect excavation, grading, drainage, retaining walls and foundation design. Understanding those conditions early helps us plan for them and better understand their impact on your budget.

Oregon offers some pretty incredible properties, and much of that beauty comes with trees.

We look at what may need to be cleared for your home, driveway, utilities and construction access, while keeping in mind the natural character that drew you to the property in the first place.

This is where all of those pieces come together.

The price of the land is only one part of the equation. We help you understand what it may take to prepare that property for your home so those costs can be considered as part of your overall project from the beginning.

Because the question isn’t just, “Can we build here?”

It’s also, “What will it take to build here?”

From The Ground Up

Site development is a big part of building on your own land, and it’s an area where Stone Creek Building does things a little differently.

We have our own excavation crew, allowing us to manage much of the early site work ourselves and giving us greater control over scheduling and coordination from the very beginning of your build.

It’s one more part of the process we can keep close to home.

Sometimes, We Need To Do A Little Homework.

Surveyors

Septic Professionals

Geotechnical & Civil Engineers

Utility Providers

Local Jurisdictions

Depending on your property, we may need help from surveyors, septic professionals, geotechnical or civil engineers, utility providers or your local jurisdiction.

We’ll help determine what information is needed, bring in the right people and keep those pieces moving.

You don’t need to know who to call first. That’s part of what we’re here for.

Then, We Build Your Home.

Once we understand your land, what it will take to develop it and how your overall project is coming together, we’re ready to move into The Stone Creek Building Journey.

That’s where your land and your ideas become a home through design, budgeting, financing, permitting, selections and construction.

And because we’ve taken the time to understand the property first, we’re not just designing a home.

We’re designing your home for your land.

From A Piece Of Land To A Place You Call Home.

For three generations, Stone Creek Building has been building homes in our community. And while every piece of property and every home is different, the way we approach them is the same: we listen first, help you understand your options and walk through the process with you.

You bring the land, the ideas and the dream of what could be there.

We’ll help you make it home.
