The Journey, Step By Step

Vision & Design
We begin with a conversation, not a sales pitch.
We want to understand your family, how you live and what you hope your new home will bring to your life. What works for you now? What doesn’t? What spaces matter most?
From there, we work alongside our design partners to turn your ideas, inspiration and must-haves into a plan that truly feels like yours.

Budget & Proposal
Once your design is set, we get into the detailed numbers. Talking openly about money is personal, and we take that seriously.
We gather bids from our trusted trade partners, many of whom have built alongside Stone Creek for years, and put together a detailed proposal that shows exactly what is included, trade by trade.
Where allowances are needed, we make them realistic for the home we are actually planning to build. We don’t believe in putting in low numbers just to make the overall price look better.
You will not find vague allowances or surprise line items waiting for you later. When you sign, that proposal becomes your contract and your pricing is locked in. From there, we’ll work together to finalize any allowances as selections are made and, of course, keep you informed of the cost of any changes you choose to make along the way. Because trust is something we work hard to earn and keep.

Financing
If you are financing your build, we work alongside your lender to help move your construction loan through approval.
We provide the plans, specifications, contract documents and figures they need and stay involved throughout the process.
There can be a lot of moving pieces with construction financing. You won’t be left trying to navigate them on your own.

Permitting
Our team prepares your project for permitting and manages that process on your behalf.
Depending on your property, that may mean coordinating with surveyors, engineers, septic professionals, utility providers or other specialists. We also work through site specific requirements like emergency vehicle access, fire protection and other jurisdictional requirements that can impact your build.
You don’t need to become an expert in permits to build your home. That’s our job.

Selections
Now your home really starts to feel like yours.
You’ll make the selections that bring your home together, from cabinetry and countertops to flooring, tile, fixtures, lighting, hardware and paint.
There are a lot of decisions in a custom home, so our selections team helps keep the process organized and moving. We coordinate appointments, document your selections and make sure the details are clearly communicated to your project manager and the trade partners bringing them to life.
We’ll help keep selections aligned with your budget and construction schedule, so you know what decisions are coming and when they need to be made.
We want this part to feel exciting, creative and manageable.

Construction
Now the real building begins.
From excavation and foundation to framing, roofing, mechanicals and finishes, your project manager coordinates our trade partners, oversees the work and keeps your home moving forward.
Stone Creek also has our own excavation crew, giving us more control over one of the first and most schedule sensitive phases of your build.
With regular site visits and consistent updates, you’ll know what’s happening, what’s coming next and what to expect along the way.
This is your home taking shape, and we want you to feel like part of it the whole way through.

Welcome Home
As construction wraps up, we walk your new home together, work through the final details and get everything ready for the moment you’ve been waiting for: handing you the keys.
You’ll also receive an end of project binder with warranties, product information and important details about your new home, all together in one place.
But handing over the keys isn’t where our relationship ends.
Stone Creek has been building homes in our community for three generations, and we plan to be here when you need us.
Because to us, building a home has never been just about the house.
It’s about the family who gets to call it home.
